LONG BEACH ISLAND – Ocean County Library will present “Free Comic Book Day” which takes place 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 5 at the Long Beach Island Branch, 217 S. Central Ave. in Surf City.

Wham! Pow! Swoosh! You can come into the branch and pick up a free comic book as well as other fun items in the Children's area.

“Free Comic Book Day” is an International Event which celebrates comic books and local comic shops that provide them to their communities and an annual promotion by the North American comic book industry to help develop new readers of comic books.

This program is free and open to the public and is sponsored by Diamond Comic Distributors.
