Guitarist Gary Nokes to Perform “Sounds of the Shore” at Ocean County Library Jackson Branch

JACKSON TOWNSHIP – Catch the vibe of summer, sand and surf when noted local guitarist and singer Gary Nokes performs “Sounds of the Shore” at the Ocean County Library Jackson Branch, 2 PM Saturday, August 20.

Music lovers will enjoy classic beach ballads, nautical numbers, and coastal country favorites delivered in the inimitable style that has popularized Nokes throughout the Jersey Shore, Atlantic City, New York, Philadelphia, and the Florida Keys.

Nokes is familiar to Shore concertgoers through his performances with the Lamplighters, the Francis Albert Band, the Ragtimers, Ocean County String Band, Top Hat String Band, and numerous rock and jazz ensembles.

He also tailors more than 800 songs in his repertoire for all ages, specializes in patriotic, Irish, and Christmas themes, and provides entertainment and music therapy in many Ocean County senior enclaves and assisted-living centers.
