Ocean County Library Presents Virtual Program Featuring Claire Legrand

TOMS RIVER – The Ocean County Library Toms River Branch invites patrons to be part of a free virtual discussion with bestselling author Claire Legrand at 6 PM Wednesday, September 16.

Ms. Legrand will share anecdotes and discuss her career path, finding inspiration, forming a unique voice, living with mental illness, and fostering empathy. A short question-and-answer period will follow the presentation.

Her mystical stories appeal to adults, teens and ‘tweens. Sawkill Girls, her newest young adult novel, won five starred reviews and earned finalist consideration for the 2018 Bram Stoker Award and the 2019 Lambda Literary Award.

The event is presented in partnership with Labyrinth Book Store of Princeton. All attendees will be entered in a drawing for signed copies of Sawkill Girls, The Cavendish Home for Boys and Girls, Some Kind of Happiness, Foxheart,and Furyborn.
