LONG BEACH ISLAND – The Friends of the Island Library are pleased to announce their upcoming author luncheon with Susannah Marren, author of “A Palm Beach Wife.” The luncheon will take place at 12 p.m. Friday, May 17 at Bisque Restaurant, 2020 Long Beach Boulevard, Ship Bottom.

Tickets include a choice of Chicken Française with roasted potatoes and green beans, or Vegetable Risotto; salad and dessert are included. Special diets can be accommodated.

There will be a silent auction to benefit the Friends of the Island Library. Marren will have books available for purchase and sign.

Reservation forms will be available at the Long Beach Island Branch of the Ocean County Library until the event is filled. The branch is located at 217 S. Central Avenue, Surf City. Registration will end May 15.

“A Palm Beach Wife,” Marren’s second novel, draws a riveting portrait of spousal loyalty, female rivalry, and the complicated mother-daughter bond.
