Upper Shores Library To Bring FDR To Life During Two One-Man Shows

LAVALLETTE – Actor, director and educator Neill Hartley will portray President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, FDR, during a two-part series to be held at the Upper Shores Branch of the Ocean County Library, 112 Jersey City Ave. Lavallette.

On Wednesday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m., “FDR: A New Deal for America” shares the culture of the 1930s and the Great Depression.

Part two of the series, “FDR: An Arsenal for Democracy,” will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. focusing on Roosevelt’s time as president during World War II.

Both programs are produced by the American Historical Theatre.

These programs are being funded by the Horizons Speakers Bureau of the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
