Author-Environmentalist William J. Lewis to Appear at Tuckerton Library Association Annual Open House

TUCKERTON – Award-winning environmental expert William J. Lewis, author of New Jersey’s Lost Piney Culture, will speak at the Tuckerton Library Association’s annual Open House, 7 PM Wednesday, April 13, at the Ocean County Library Tuckerton Branch.

Lewis’s engaging presentation will introduce facts, legends and lore about New Jersey’s Pine Barrens, and about the people who live within it. Copies of New Jersey’s Lost Piney Culture, and other works in the Lewis catalog, will be available for purchase.

The New Jersey native is the founder and President of the non-profit Nurture Environmental Stewardship Today (NEST). He has served as Chairperson of Plumsted’s Environmental Commission and Sustainable Jersey Committee, and President of EarthShare NJ’s Executive Board of Directors.
