Meet OTHERS Creator Jim Dowdell at the Ocean County Library Manchester Branch

December 05, 2023

MANCHESTER – Are you a fan of hair-raising horror fiction? Ready to expand your list of authors who specialize in the genre? Meet Jim Dowdell, who will read from and sign copies of the newest volume in his OTHERS trilogy-in-progress, 2 PM Saturday, January 13 at the Ocean County Library Manchester Branch.

OTHERS: Part II – Metamorphosis carries forward the story that originated in 2022’s OTHERS: Part I – The Child, released in eBook, paperback and hardcover. There will be an opportunity to purchase both books at the event.

The series centers on a young girl who is tormented by demons that invade her dreams, intent on destroying her before she reaches her destiny. While her family and teachers struggle to understand her dilemma, her only ally is a police officer. She finds truth in dreams, until the night arrives in which dreams and reality merge and new terrors unfold.

A native of Binghamton, New York, Dowdell studied Journalism and Communication at Long Island University. The suspense master raised his three children in Manalapan and settled in Ocean County with his wife Helena.
