Upcoming Technology Classes at the Jackson Library

JACKSON – The Jackson Branch of the Ocean County Library will host various technology classes throughout the month of September.

  • “Movie Magic: Streaming Movies How-To” at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sep. 10. Register for and learn how to use the library’s free streaming movie services – Kanopy, Hoopla, and Access Video On Demand. Movie trivia and giveaways will also take place. Participants must bring their Ocean County Library card and have an email account which can be accessed during class.
  • “Microsoft Word Basics” at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sep. 11. Learn how to create and format a document. Topics will include writing text, changing the size and color of words, printing, and more. Participants should have mouse and keyboard skills.
  • “Microsoft PowerPoint Basics” 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sep. 18. Learn the basics of creating an eye-catching and informative presentation. Participants should have mouse and keyboard skills.
  • “Microsoft Excel Basics” at 10 a.m. Friday, Sep. 20. Learn how to use a spreadsheet to organize and calculate data. Participants should have mouse and keyboard skills.
  • “Microsoft Word 2” at 2 p.m. Monday, Sep. 23. Learn how to insert page numbers, headers and footers, tables, text boxes, pictures, and other features into your document. Participants must have some experience using Microsoft Word.
  • “Spotlight On: Windows 10” at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sep. 26. Become comfortable using the features of the Windows 10 operating system. Participants should have mouse and keyboard skills.
